The Del Sur Kennel Club, a proud member of the American Kennel Club, actively participates in various activities, including Conformation, obedience, and FastCAT, while serving the San Diego dog shows community in the San Diego, California area.
Each May, we host a weekend of San Diego dog shows that feature three all-breed conformation shows alongside Obedience and Rally Obedience Trials running from Friday to Sunday. Additionally, we include 4-6-month Beginner Puppy and Junior Showmanship competitions.
On Saturday only, we also provide a Pee Wee class designed for children aged 5 to 9 years.
We welcome AKC Canine Partners (mixed breeds) to participate in our Junior Showmanship, Obedience, and Rally Obedience Trials. Don’t forget to check our Calendar page for upcoming events and to download information packages when available, including details on our FastCAT competitions.
New members interested in participating in Conformation, FastCAT, or obedience events at the San Diego dog shows must attend three (3) general membership meetings before submitting their application along with the first year's dues. For meeting information, please check the Calendar page of the San Diego Kennel Club.
New members must complete the above requirement and submit an application form signed by two (2) current members in good standing. The application is then reviewed by the Board of Directors, who will make a recommendation to the general membership regarding the upcoming events, including Conformation, FastCAT, and obedience trials at the San Diego dog shows. The application is subsequently voted upon at the first available general membership meeting following the Board's review, which is often held by the San Diego Kennel Club.
